I am currently a fourth- year Geophysics student of Obafemi Awolowo University.
My coursework has nurtured me to be detailed, strategic and analytical. I am excited to produce a great result in an unpredictable environment, synthesize divergent information to puzzle out problems and successfully manage risk. Through my extracurricular exertions, I have learnt time management and smart work. I am a quick learner with a strong desire for new experience and greater responsibility.
I have demonstrated a great result in financial modeling, comparative and quantitative analysis with Inxpireconnect, an advertising and brand management startup which produced a 270% profit on investment in the first year of operation credited to the collective input of my team. My excellent interpersonal skills served me well when dealing with clients.
On the platform of Inxpire.com, a premier Nigeria not-for-profit youth driven organization, I have exhibited a sound strategic management practices and quality assurance procedures with a team of 42; raise fund of $25,000 for a nationwide project which impacted over 20, 000 youth in Nigeria. This has helped me spot, connect, appreciate and develop the unique attributes of my teammates to produce excellent result.

I coordinate the Learning Technologies Master of Science (LTMS) program and learning technologies at Harrisburg University as Director of Learning Technologies.

In 2010, I received the “Technology Educator of the Year” honors from TECHQuest PA. The honor recognizes the recipient as an “outstanding example of ‘Information Age Educator’ using current technologies to educate, motivate and inspire students to develop careers in technology fields and become lifelong learners.”

I’m an award-winning instructional technologist with more than 13 years of eLearning design and development experience in multimedia production firms, independent consulting, corporate learning and education.

I have played various roles in eLearning implementations including project manager, multimedia producer, instructional designer, graphic designer, writer, and developer. Prior to joining the University, I was Sr. Instructional Designer with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield where I managed, designed, and developed performance improvement solutions, established Corporate Learning best practices for design and development, and researched and implemented new approaches to delivering performance support solutions to Highmark employees.

My past work has included efforts in edutainment, using characters in multimedia and eLearning, games, simulations, and web design and development for marketing and entertainment, storyboarding best practices, web conferencing implementation and instructional design toolkit development.

As Director of Learning Technologies at Harrisburg University my work has included efforts in the areas of educational technology strategy, games and simulations, classroom technology, web 2.0, patient education, social learning and faculty development.

I have a Master of Science Degree in Instructional Technology from Bloomsburg University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Wilkes University.

I have written multimedia and eLearning articles for national and regional publications and presented on various eLearning, educational technology, multimedia, and web topics at international, national, and regional events. I’m a member of National ASTD, central PA ASTD and the eLearning Guild.

I work part-time for Fresh Roasted Hosting in downtown Harrisburg; however, my primary career is as a Training Lead for an American multinational information technology corporation. My passions lie in instructional design, distance education, and educational technology. I love evaluating technologies and techniques, and wondering, how can this be used to educate? From enhancing in-person sessions, to presenting virtually, to eLearning and just-in-time training modules available on demand, delivering effective education to teammates working in diaspora. That’s what I love to figure out.

A Barcamp Harrisburg first-timer, I am not sure what to expect though I am very intrigued. I will be coming eager to learn and share.

I’m an interactive designer/developer at Hauck Interactive, Inc. and teach at Harrisburg Area Community College (I’m also a BarCampHbg organizer).

I’ll probably present on HTML5 Canvas, as I recently migrated my spring curriculum towards using it.

It was pretty cool seeing such diverse topics as Arduino and security at last year’s event. I’m looking forward to being surprised this year.

At last years Harrisburg Barcamp, I attended a presentation on “what to learn next”, it was outstanding. The moderator was exceptional and I hope he can present again.

I had been looking at PHP, Drupal, Ruby, Python and others trying to make that very decision prior to the meeting. Another attendee mentioned that SQL hadn’t changed in
more than 15 years so why not just stay with that?

With more than 10 years of Sybase, SQL Server experience using T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers and more that thought triggered(no pun intended) my thoughts on a direction.
It was just what I needed to decide on the next step of my career.

Making use of my extensive database background and applying that to other technologies was the perfect solution. I am using my DB experience as the base and working with it using PHP and Drupal on my personal website.
